Meagan Corrigan

Welcome to Mrs. Corrigan's Class!

I would like to welcome you to my class. I'm so excited about our school year!

This is my 6th year teaching 1st grade here at NCES!
I am originally from Lugoff, SC, but have lived in Charleston for 7 years.  I received my BA in Early Childhood Education from Winthrop University. Go Eagles! I am working towards earning my masters degree from College of Charleston in MTLA: New Literacies.

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we love to travel and explore new places! I enjoy spending time at the beach and love to curl up with a good book. I am very excited for this upcoming school year. We will be doing some amazing things in room 149.  I can't to see what adventures are waiting for us!

First grade is an exciting year for growth! It is an important year to master the basic skills of reading and addition and subtraction. We will build critical thinking skills and work on becoming independent learners. We have 1-to-1 iPads in our classroom that truly enhance our learning. It is my goal to provide a safe, positive environment that allows creative thinking, independence, and builds a life-long love of learning!
