Welcome to 4th grade!
My name is Danielle Roberts. I am a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where I received my master’s degree in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies/Language and Literacy Studies. I have been in the education field for ten years. This is my first-year teaching at North Charleston Elementary School. Prior to working at North Charleston Elementary School, I taught elementary school for eight years in California, and also worked for two years in the Education Department at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum.
Education is very important to me and I want to ensure that all my students will receive the best education possible. I hope to work very closely with parents to see that their child gets the most he or she possibly can, out of our year together. A challenging world awaits each child, and I feel that it is our responsibility to work as a team in order to prepare each child to succeed in this world as a productive worker, concerned citizen, trusted family member, good friend, and caring adult. I know that this year is just one of many your child will spend in school, but I strongly feel that the possibilities for intellectual, social, and personal growth are tremendous.
I have high expectations for all my students. The work we do will be challenging. I will structure our assignments so that if the students put forth the effort, they will be successful. It is important for the students to learn at a young age that effort leads to success. However, the students will not have to face these challenges on their own. I will be with them every step of the way, providing assistance whenever they reach the point where they have done as much as they possibly can on their own.
