Dear North Charleston Elementary Families,

Welcome back! We are excited to begin another wonderful school year and can't wait to welcome our Dolphins back to school. We hope your family has had a fun, relaxing summer, and we look forward to partnering with you to make this our best year yet.

 

Teacher Drop-In Event

Before the first day of school, we invite you to join us for our Teacher Drop-In Event on Friday, August 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to:

  • Meet their teacher
  • Drop off school supplies
  • Take back-to-school pictures
  • Become familiar with their classroom before the first day

First Day of School

The first day of school is Tuesday, August 11. Our first bell rings at 7:00 a.m., and the tardy bell rings at 7:25 a.m. Arriving on time each morning helps students begin their day successfully and establishes positive routines for the year.

Arrival Procedures

To ensure the safety and security of all students, parents and family members will not be able to walk students to their classrooms this school year.

We understand this is a change from previous years, and we appreciate your understanding and support. Please know that there will be plenty of staff members throughout the building to greet students, assist them, and ensure they arrive safely to their classrooms each morning. Our staff is committed to making every student feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident as they begin their school day.

The safety of our students and the security of our building are among our highest priorities. We are grateful for your partnership as we implement this procedure to provide the safest possible learning environment for every child.

 

At North Charleston Elementary, we are committed to creating a school where all students feel they belong, are challenged to grow, and are supported by a caring community. Together, we will make this an incredible school year!
