School Counseling
Hello and welcome! I’m Mrs. Sykeithia Simmons-White, the School Counselor here at North Charleston Elementary School. I’m honored to serve our students, families, and staff by providing counseling support that promotes academic success, social-emotional growth, and overall well-being.
My goal is to ensure that every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential. I believe in building strong relationships and creating a safe, welcoming environment where students can learn, express themselves, and grow into confident, compassionate individuals.
Before becoming a school counselor, I spent nine years as a classroom teacher, where I developed a deep appreciation for the daily challenges and triumphs that students and educators experience. My time in the classroom strengthened my passion for helping children grow and succeed.
That experience inspired me to pursue school counseling, where I could provide even more focused support to students and families. I’m committed to promoting equity, kindness, and emotional safety in every interaction, and I work to ensure that every student feels seen, heard, and supported.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and reading.
I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the students and families of North Charleston Elementary. My door is always open, and I look forward to partnering with you to help every child grow into their best self.
