Important Update: New Cell Phone Policy

Dear Families,

We want to share important information regarding the updated cell phone policy recently enacted across South Carolina schools. Our goal is to create an environment that fosters focus, learning, and personal connection within the classroom.

Under this new policy, students are not permitted to use cell phones during instructional hours, including transitions, recess, and lunch. Students should keep their phones turned off and stored in their backpacks or a designated area during the school day.

This policy is designed to:

• Minimize distractions in the classroom.
• Protect student privacy and safety.
• Encourage face-to-face interactions and engagement.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these guidelines at home and helping your child understand the importance of maintaining a positive and focused learning environment. If you have any questions or concerns about the new policy, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school office.
